What is the Guest's Code of Conduct?

To streamline the integrity of our community, all guests are required to follow the code of conduct below.

It is your responsibility as a guest using GiddyUp GetAway to understand and honor the minimum standards of conduct set forth below:

  1. Be familiar with your Host’s listing details for the human and horse sites that you have booked. Be sure you understand if you are required to bring your own stall bedding, water, water hose etc.
  2. Give as much notice as possible if you need to change your booking. It is helpful if you give your Host an estimated arrival time so they can be prepared and/or greet you.
  3. Give your travel health certificate(s) and negative coggins test results to the Host before you unload the horses.
  4. Not every property will have cell or internet service, so be prepared!  Have your travel route, booking details, driving instructions, arrival instructions etc. in hand just in case.
  5. Each property will have property rules that have been set up by the Host. These will include specific instructions like quiet times, what to pack, requirements for dogs, if allowed, etc. Be sure to honor these rules so everyone will have a great experience!
  6. Leave the property in the same or better condition as when you arrived. Clean up after yourself.  For example, if your vehicle or trailer makes ruts on the property, fill it in for the next Guest.
  7. Dispose of garbage, trash, horse stall bedding and manure in a responsible manner and in compliance with the rules set forth by the property owner.
  8. A Host is not required to provide you with a bathroom. It is understood that you will provide your own bathroom facility in your horse trailer. Hosts are not required to provide sewer hook ups. If your horse trailer does not have a bathroom, you will need to book a property that offers a toilet (use the toilet search filter).
  9. Stay informed about local fire bans, local laws and other safety hazards that you must comply with during your stay.
  10. When communicating with Hosts, use the internal messaging system provided within the website. This is an extra layer of protection for you and functions to help prevent fraud, spamming etc. Communicating outside of the GiddyUp GetAway website violates the Terms & Conditions.
  11. Great reviews are an essential part of the rental process. One unmerited, bad review can cause a Host’s business to decline or even stop. Always be honest and fair when you are writing a review on a Host and do not allow personal bias to be a factor.
  12. If you find a condition that is unacceptable at a property, bring it to your Host’s attention so they can correct the problem. GiddyUp GetAway will not tolerate offensive or aggressive behavior. Please notify us immediately of any incident that violates our policies by sending an email to support@GiddyUpGetAway.com
  13. GiddyUp GetAway™ has a zero tolerance policy against discrimination based on race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, political views, religion, national origin or ethnicity. Hosts and Guests should foster a hate-free climate and treat every person and every animal with respect and compassion.
